It all started with a distinctive shape: an ergonomic, fluid seat with gentle curves designed to support the body naturally. From there, the challenge was to find the right technology and material to give life to such a unique design. The solution came in the form of PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) — a high-performance plastic rarely used in the furniture industry, yet widely appreciated in technical fields for its strength, durability, and flexibility. PBT enabled the development of a seamless, sculptural seat — a true design object that’s both expressive and enduring. The BCN stool is available in three different heights — high, medium, and low — and offers a wide range of bases to suit diverse environments. Choose from a slide-frame base in painted steel, solid beechwood legs for a warmer, more organic look, or a height-adjustable base for professional or kitchen settings. Each version offers a fresh take on the same recognizable seat. What makes BCN especially versatile is the variety of colour options for both the seat and the base, allowing for striking or subtle combinations that adapt beautifully to contemporary interiors, whether in private homes, creative studios, or public spaces.
