Its iconic and versatile shape, included in the renowned Le Corbusier®, Pierre Jeanneret®, Charlotte Perriand® Collection, was conceived with the aim of streamlining mass production by using common elements shared across different pieces. Cassina first introduced the stool in 1978 and reissued it in 2023 with a strong focus on sustainability and circularity. The padding is crafted from recycled and circular materials, combining recycled PET wadding with polyurethane foam containing a percentage of bio-based polyols, while the trivalent chrome-plated steel frame is available in either polished or painted finishes, with upholstery options in leather or fabric to suit various aesthetic preferences.
