Its plush volume is held and defined by a visible metal clamp, which becomes both a functional component and a striking design element. Embracing a refined informality, Soriana invites new domestic rituals through its welcoming silhouette and casual elegance. Its conceptual strength earned it the Compasso d’Oro in 1970, awarded as a masterpiece of complexity achieved through simplicity. Cassina reinterprets this design icon today with an updated construction focused on sustainability and wellbeing, thanks to the use of BioFoam® microspheres – a bioplastic of plant origin – as the inner padding, and a soft outer filling made of 100% recycled PET fibre developed in partnership with Plastic Bank®. The internal frame consists of a recyclable wood panel with low formaldehyde emissions, while the clamp is available in powder-coated or chrome-finished steel, depending on the version. Upholstered in a refined selection of fabrics and leathers from the Cassina collections, Soriana continues to embody a timeless approach to comfort and design.
