Description

The solid wood base, with its austere design, embraces the upholstered volumes of the seat, backrest, and armrests, forming a sculptural and sophisticated whole. The sofa’s dimensions have been revised—its height and depth increased—through a meticulous research process developed in close collaboration with Tobia Scarpa. Every element has been refined with care, including the distinctive exposed black leather laces, housed in custom grommets that enable a seamless connection between backrest and frame. Also available as an armchair or as two- or three-seat end elements, Cornaro features removable covers and uses environmentally conscious materials such as recycled PET fibre and CIRCULARREFOAM® polyurethane, made in part with recycled or bio-based polyols. The frame is offered in either gloss-lacquered beech or matte open-pore ash, providing versatile stylistic choices.
