Description
The structure is made of natural sassafras wood, treated with a water-based oil- and water-repellent finish that helps reduce the absorption of liquids and grease. It consists of two separate parts—one that slightly raises the seat off the ground and another that supports the backrest, which can be adjusted to two inclinations depending on the placement of the rear support. The feet are made of plastic. The removable cushion, combining resilient polyurethane and polyester fiber, features a water-repellent polyester inner lining and is upholstered in stonewashed linen or hemp. Upon request, a completely natural filling can be provided, composed of latex, kapok fiber, and wool felt, with elastic steel spring inserts and a fixed 100% cotton inner cover—offering the same level of comfort as traditional synthetic padding. The kapok fiber is naturally water-repellent, hypoallergenic, and fully biodegradable. As time passes, the sassafras wood may undergo color variations and develop surface cracks, which are typical of its natural aging process and do not affect product quality. Though designed for protected outdoor use, the Hiromi chaise longue also fits seamlessly into indoor settings. To preserve it properly, the use of a dedicated Winter Set protective cover is recommended.
