Description
Clizia challenges the conventional perception of the hardness and static nature of stone materials, transforming them into a dynamic, almost moving form that recalls the vitality of a flower following the sunlight. The design, characterized by a geometric complexity that recalls Escher’s studies, makes the upper profile of the seat coincide with the lower one, allowing the designer to obtain two mirror elements from a single block. This approach, which combines engineering genius, production sustainability, and sculptural art, confirms Clizia as one of Maestro Mangiarotti’s most emblematic creations. Its fluid silhouette and the intrinsic elegance of the material make Clizia not only a functional piece of furniture but an element of great visual impact, capable of enhancing prestigious architectural contexts, gardens, or refined living spaces.
