Incas, designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1978 and reissued by Agapecasa, represents the evolution of the famous Eros system. While Eros is characterized by curved forms and circular couplings, Incas translates the same constructive intuition of the gravity joint into a square and geometric form. It consists of square tabletops and truncated-pyramid legs with a trapezoidal section; the joint is designed so that only the two inclined planes support the weight of the top, guaranteeing stability without resorting to fastening elements. Originally conceived in Pietra Serena, it is today offered in various stone materials (fine marbles, travertine) and in an unprecedented and sophisticated version in solid oak.

Incas is a manifesto of Mangiarotti's poetics, where design springs from the logical rigor of the structure and a deep knowledge of the physics of materials. The decision to transition from the sinuous forms of Eros to the pure and architectural geometry of Incas demonstrates how the gravity joint intuition is a universal principle, capable of adapting to different formal languages without losing strength. The trapezoidal configuration of the legs is not just a stylistic choice, but a precise engineering solution: the weight of the tabletop — which can reach generous dimensions, up to 320 cm — is discharged along the inclined planes, naturally locking the joint. Available in different heights and configurations (tables and consoles), Incas fits into environments with a contemporary and minimalist taste, where the authenticity of the materials (stone, marble, or oak) and the cleanliness of the design become protagonists, confirming itself as a pillar of Agapecasa's Mangiarotti Collection.
