Description

The individually welted and hand-tufted upholstery squares, together with the matching cylindrical bolster in leather or fabric, make each piece a celebration of the union between modern design, exceptional craftsmanship, and meticulous attention to detail. Available in leather, suede, or fabric, with polished or ultra-matte onyx legs, the sommier is made with 72 individually crafted squares, all cut from a single hide in the leather version. Belting leather straps, with edges dyed to match, are stretched over rubber webbing to support the cushion. Each Barcelona Sommier bears the Knoll logo and the designer’s signature stamped on the frame, ensuring authenticity and timeless value.

By collaborating with some of the most famous designers of the 20th century, such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Eero Saarinen, Knoll created iconic pieces that combine aesthetics, functionality, and comfort.
