Description

The structure is made of solid spruce wood and particleboard panels, with elastic straps that ensure a comfortable and stable seat. Its padding, made of high-density polyurethane foam, provides excellent comfort, while the lining in coupled velveteen offers a pleasant tactile experience.

The design of Elain is enhanced by painted aluminum feet, which complement the chair's modern and sophisticated style. Additionally, the swivel base, made of painted steel with plastic tips, adds practical functionality, allowing the armchair to rotate easily in any direction.

Elain can be personalized with removable upholstery, available in fine fabrics or soft leathers, to suit the tastes and needs of each customer. Its compact size and enveloping design make it ideal not only as an accessory in living rooms or conversation corners but also as a stylish and functional piece in professional or public spaces.

As for technical specifications, Elain’s structure is built to ensure durability and resistance, with a frame that complies with international safety standards, such as versions conforming to TB117 or BS5852. The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
