Its classic wooden frame is characterized by a backrest that also serves as an armrest. The seat and support are provided by leather straps, offering optimal comfort by ergonomically adapting to the body. It is completed with comfortable cushions upholstered in fabric or leather, selected from the wide range of Molteni&C collections.

Description

The armchair Gliss is available in a version compliant with TB117 or BS5852 standards. The product has a gross weight of 21.5 kg and a volume of 0.6 m³. The dimensions are provided in centimeters, and the company reserves the right to make changes to the models without prior notice.

The frame of the armchair is made of solid ash wood stained, with supporting straps in regenerated leather and support points in plastic material. The seat and back cushions are made of high-density polyurethane with differentiated layers, padded with polyester fiber batting, and covered with a cotton and polyester fiber blend fabric. The regenerated leather parts, such as the armrest, are non-removable, while the frame is removable and replaceable

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
