Description

The armchair from the Landmark Collection is a piece that blends iconic design with enveloping comfort. The solid teak structure, featuring curved and embracing lines, evokes the natural and sophisticated essence of wood, while the woven macro-scale pattern is reinterpreted with more compact proportions that enhance its expressiveness. The curved backrest design wraps around the user like a hug, providing a protective and welcoming comfort. The armchair is complemented by a teak pouf with a polyurethane cushion, designed to offer optimal support and maximum relaxation. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor spaces, the armchair is made with durable materials and can be easily maintained thanks to its removable upholstery and available water-repellent covers.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
