Description

Anton is a bed that embodies Vincent Van Duysen's design philosophy, focusing on essentiality and meticulous material research. The headboard, crafted from plywood and padded with variable-density polyurethane foam, is covered in bonded velour and enhanced by a contemporary reinterpretation of capitonné stitching. The bed frame, made from solid wood and plywood, also features molded polyurethane padding and a bonded velour lining. The painted steel feet, offered in a pewter finish, include non-slip plastic supports.

The fully removable external cover is available in the Molteni&C range of fabrics and leathers. The bed is designed to accommodate both double and twin single bed bases and comes in various sizes, with adjustable base height through optional spacers. Anton can be complemented by a matching bench, featuring a steel frame with non-slip feet and a padded seat covered in bonded velour, also with a removable cover.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
