Description

The Glove chair, designed by Patricia Urquiola in 2005, features a bent and welded steel frame with protective coating. The seat consists of a thermoplastic shell with an insert made of high-density polyurethane foam for maximum comfort. The legs are made of non-slip plastic material to ensure stability and safety. The removable upholstery is available in a variety of fabrics and leathers, with a zipper closure located on the back of the chair. This detail, available in two colors (black and white), contributes to defining the elegant silhouette of the piece. The zip color selection to match the upholstery is at Molteni&C’s discretion, but any specific preferences must be indicated when ordering.

The Glove chair is available in a version compliant with TB117 or BS5852 standards, ensuring quality and safety. The chair dimensions are 79 cm in height, 52 cm in width, and 51 cm in depth, with a gross weight of 8.5 kg and a volume of 0.184 cubic meters. The package contains one unit of the product.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
