Description

The Mateo table by Vincent Van Duysen, with its distinctive conical central base, enriches its design offering in 2024 with new compositional possibilities. The table is available in two versions: dining and lounge. The dining version includes round tops in sizes 140, 160, 180, 200 cm, and oval tops in 220 and 250 cm, with the addition of a new double-base oval version, available in marble for sizes 300, 350, and 400 cm, perfect for larger spaces. The conical base is available in polished steel, in addition to the classic finishes in coffee oak, sunrise oak, glossy lacquer, and brushed metal. The new version is designed for elegant spaces and social gatherings, combining tradition with modernity.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
