Description

The bases, matched to the tabletop finish, are made of painted steel—either matte or glossy—and feature plastic glides; tops in Esmal come with a matte graphite-painted steel base. Each Esmal piece is handcrafted by Alessandra Malfatti, making every table unique and unrepeatable. The edges and undersides of the wooden tops are finished in matte lacquer, tone-on-tone. The copper tops are left unenameled on the edges to allow the natural oxidation process to occur, gradually transitioning from bright red to deep brown and ultimately to verdigris. The Ivy series with wooden tops was selected for the ADI Design Index 2014 and won the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2013 in the interior furnishing category.
