Description
Tre Pezzi was conceived as a way to reimagine tradition through a modern, functional lens, preserving the symbolic presence of the bergère while breaking it down into three independent elements: a deep curved seat, a ring-shaped backrest and a crescent headrest. Each geometry is clear and intentional, set against a tubular steel frame inspired by scaffolding poles, with armrests that curve in reference to the handrails designed by Albini and Helg for the Milan underground. The generous proportions and cold-foam padding offer uncompromising comfort, enhanced by a formal clarity that speaks to timeless elegance. Reissued by Cassina in 2009 with full respect for the original design, Tre Pezzi retains its value as a design manifesto, where architecture and furnishing merge into a vision of enduring modernity.
