Description
Originally created for the General Hospital’s Waiting Room and widely adopted in private homes, this low chair is easily recognized by its distinctive “Z” shaped sides, made from a sequence of three coplanar, subtly triangular elements arranged in continuity. The seat and backrest feature the characteristic Vienna straw weaving within a solid wood frame that, in addition to the historical teak version, is now offered by Cassina’s Research and Development Centre in three oak finishes: natural, black stained, and dark walnut stained, all crafted in the brand’s renowned carpentry workshop. Black plastic feet complete the design, while an optional cushion, padded with polyurethane foam and upholstered in either fabric or leather, enhances protection and comfort.
