Eros, designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1971 and reissued by Agapecasa, is one of the most iconic collections in contemporary Italian design. The system is based on one or more truncated-cone supports fitted into the tabletop according to the table’s shape, with a constructive principle that relies on gravity alone to ensure stability, without joints or fasteners. It is made of marble in several fine finishes, including Bianco Carrara, Nero Marquina, Grigio Carnico, Verde Alpi, and Emperador Dark, and is available in many configurations: round, oval, square, rectangular, elliptical, and triangular.
