Description

The pouf features a cross-shaped steel frame available in polished chrome or ultra-matte onyx, supporting a cushion meticulously handcrafted from sixteen individual squares of leather, suede, or fabric, each welted and tufted with buttons to highlight artisanal precision. In the leather version, all squares are cut from a single hide to ensure consistency of texture and tone. The cushion is secured to the frame with belting leather straps whose edges are hand-dyed to match, combining durability with aesthetic harmony. The frame bears the Knoll logo and the designer’s signature, serving as a seal of authenticity and a testament to the original vision of Mies van der Rohe.
