Description

Chester One is the evolution of the classic pouf, reinterpreting Renzo Frau’s iconic 1912 design with a new vision of comfort and contemporary elegance. The solid beechwood frame ensures durability, while the suspension system—featuring hand-tied steel biconical springs secured with jute straps—provides elasticity and resilience. The padding is crafted from premium materials: hand-shaped vegetal horsehair for the backrest and armrests, rubberized horsehair for the seat, and a cushion filled with goose down and polyurethane foam for enveloping support. The feet are available in different styles: spherical or high, in dark walnut-stained or black-lacquered beechwood, or in wood covered in leather. The Pelle Frau® upholstery, offered in ColorSphere®, Heritage, Nest, Soul, and Velvety, adds a refined touch, while the entirely hand-stitched capitonné detailing and a row of leather-covered studs along the back highlight the craftsmanship of the piece. The cover is non-removable to preserve the integrity of the design.
