Description

The Timeout Collection seating pieces are defined by the theme of the bronzed painted aluminum strap, a distinctive feature that forms the structure in a continuous flow. The strap bends to shape the backrest and the sled bases, creating dynamic and agile profiles. The metal frame is wrapped in tightly woven polypropylene rope, meticulously crafted by hand, offering an artisanal and material look.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
