The Table Tube d’Avion, first presented in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne, is a refined expression of modern design that clearly distinguishes the load-bearing element — the base — from the supported element — the tabletop. This functional and aesthetic separation is highlighted by four intermediate supports that act as level adjusters and spacers, emphasizing the contrast between the solidity of the structure and the lightness of the tabletop’s lines.

Description

The table’s base, designed in 1928, draws inspiration from aerodynamic profiles used in the aeronautical sector, particularly the ovoid shapes employed to separate biplane wings. This choice gives the table a unique character where technology and art blend in a balance of form and elegance. The structure is made of tubular AISI 304 stainless steel, painted in textured colours available in the catalogue, and equipped with four supports with threaded steel pins that allow height adjustment up to 50 mm, ensuring stability and adaptability to any environment. The top is made of precious Carrara marble with a water-repellent finish, combining beauty and durability. The feet, made of black plastic with adhesive felt pads, protect the surfaces on which the table rests. This model is also available in an Outdoor version, with a powder-coated stainless steel structure designed to withstand weather conditions, offered in five elegant textured colours.
