Description

Offered in two sizes, Kanji features a tabletop with a central strip divided into 60 cm segments, each removable and replaceable with glossy white lacquered metal trays. The removed sections can be stored in a hidden compartment under the tabletop or used as decorative accessories. Both the top and base are made of wood fibre finished in Mano Opaca or in Abonos™ flamed oak—an ancient river wood naturally transformed over centuries by sediment and water. Unique in appearance yet structurally robust, Abonos™ is treated with a water-based finish that repels oil and liquids. Kanji received the Special Mention at the German Design Award 2016 and won the Red Dot Award 2016 in the Product Design category.
