Mesa Due is a project that evolves through two new evocative versions of the sculptural table designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli. The table is available in various sizes, including Ø 120 cm, Ø 150 cm, Ø 180 cm, Ø 180 cm with Lazy Susan rotating top, and 260x110 cm. The column base is offered in different materials, such as grey Pietra Serena (only for Ø 120 cm and Ø 150 cm models), Saddle Extra leather with contrast stitching, and Pelle Frau® ColorSphere® leather with tone-on-tone stitching. When the base is upholstered in leather or saddle-leather, the structure is made of steel and stabilized by a counterweight system, with a plastic cap at the base to protect the floor.
The top of each model is available in several variations. The Ø 120 cm and Ø 150 cm models feature tops in wenge-stained or moka-stained ash, or covered with Pelle Frau® ColorSphere®. Calacatta, Arabescato Venato, and Fior di Pesco marble tops are available in glossy or semi-glossy finishes for the Ø 150 cm, Ø 180 cm, and 260x110 cm models. The wood top is made from medium-density fiberboard, while the leather top features a double-panel construction with beveled edges and a textured black lacquered underside.
The table structure features a junction between the top and column, made with a black-painted steel tube supporting a three- or five-bracket joint plate, depending on the top size. Additionally, upon request, a retractable electrical outlet can be integrated into the central part of the top. Among the accessories, the Lazy Susan rotating top, available only for the Ø 180 cm model, allows smooth rotation thanks to an aluminum mechanism.
