Description

The Albert seating system features a frame made of solid spruce wood and wood particle panels, with elastic straps for a firm foundation. The structure is padded with high-density polyurethane foam and velvet lining, while the seat and back cushions are made of shaped polyurethane and sterilized feathers, with a 100% cotton cover. The base is anodized peltro-colored aluminum, while the outer covering is removable and can be customized in a wide range of fabrics and leathers. Each pouf is removable by specialized personnel and has a perimeter profile made with anthracite gray webbing, which applies to all versions and fabric and leather colors.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
