Description
The structure of the Albero bookcase is made of solid Canaletto walnut wood, featuring two toothed columns with a special rack joint, and four uprights with regular perforations for the mounting of the 12 shelves. The shelves are made of medium-density fiberboard veneered with Canaletto walnut. The screws are made of brass. The bookcase is secured by two mounting points: one lower fixed to the floor and one upper anchored to the ceiling. The mounting points are attached to the ends of the toothed columns, with the upper point inserted into a cup fixed to the ceiling, while the lower point ensures floor grip through a non-slip rubber. The bookcase rotates 360° around its axis, and its stability is further ensured by four metal collars located in the mounting points (two in the upper point and two in the lower one). The finish of the mounting elements (points and cup) is in antiqued darkened steel. An aesthetic detail is found on the lower toothed column, where the designer's signature and the Poltrona Frau logo are laser-etched. As an optional accessory, the surface of the shelves can be enhanced and protected by a 4mm thick Saddle Extra leather mat with a tone-on-tone edge, featuring a hand-engraved perimeter and the Poltrona Frau logo burned into the leather.
