Description
This chair, a fusion of art and functionality, was conceived as a spatial construction in balance and logic, first in monochrome and later in a deliberate chromatic scheme: the supporting structure in solid beech is finished in matte black with yellow tips, while the seat and backrest, made from birch plywood veneered in beech, are finished in semi-gloss blue and red respectively. Its assembly relies solely on wooden joints and dowels, with no metal components. Reissued by Cassina in 1973 as part of the iMaestri collection, the chair remains faithful to the original concept, affirming itself as a timeless expression of early twentieth-century spatial and material experimentation.
