Description

Paul is a highly versatile and customizable seating program designed by Vincent Van Duysen. The internal structure consists of a solid beech wood frame and particleboard panels, with elastic straps for optimal comfort. The padding varies based on seat depth. The cushions are made of recycled polyester fiber, with 100% cotton covers. The base is available in pewter or glossy aluminum, and the die-cast metal legs have anti-slip plastic tips for added stability. The external upholstery is removable and available in various materials. The system allows for customized compositions, with options for backrests with or without a roll and different seat depths to perfectly suit spaces and comfort needs.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
