Description

505 UP System stands out for a design language that combines compositional flexibility and architectural presence. The structure is available in numerous finishes, including matt or glossy lacquers, woods, glass, and special materials such as ceramic or ecoskin, with configurations that include open, closed, and equipped elements; the system can be developed across multiple widths, depths, and heights. Its modular nature makes it ideal for contemporary living areas that require order, customization, and visual continuity.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
